Director of Implementations
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Implementations leads the successful delivery of enterprise SaaS implementation projects across the organization. This role is ideal for a PMO‑driven leader who excels at establishing structure, driving outcomes, and guiding cross‑functional teams through complex technical deployments. The Director ensures customer requirements are translated into actionable project plans, communicates effectively with technical IT stakeholders and non‑technical business partners, and consistently delivers implementations on time, within scope, and aligned to contractual commitments. This role also oversees the transition from pilot to full rollout and ensures seamless handoff into ongoing operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and develop implementation project managers and onboarding staff.
- Drive accountability for project milestones, risk management, and communication standards.
- Partner with cross functional leaders to coordinate deliverables, streamline workflows, and ensure consistent execution across all implementation programs.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support to the implementation team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage the full implementation lifecycle—from presales scoping through deployment and transition to support.
- Translate customer business and technical requirements into structured implementation plans grounded in PMO best practices.
- Build, track, and optimize project roadmaps, resource allocations, and timelines; proactively identify risks and remove barriers.
- Serve as the primary liaison across Engineering, IT, EMS, Customer Experience, and other internal teams to ensure aligned, high quality solution delivery.
- Communicate clearly with technical personas (IT, security, integration teams) and convert complex details into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Oversee pilot engagements and guide clients through the adoption path to full implementation.
- Champion best practice methodologies, scalable processes, and continuous improvement across all implementation functions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and support the development of internal knowledge bases and implementation standards.
- Foster customer satisfaction through proactive communication, expectation management, and adherence to contractual obligations.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong PMO and project delivery leadership with the ability to manage multiple large scale SaaS implementations simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage deeply with technical IT teams and translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to drive structure, clarity, and execution across cross functional stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience coordinating technical implementations, integrations, and system deployments.
- Familiarity with energy management systems, SaaS platforms, or building automation is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of leadership experience guiding PMO, implementation, or technical program teams.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, enterprise level SaaS implementations and leading cross functional delivery teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
