Position Summary
- Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions interfacing with controls system software to enhance our building automation platform.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with other teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Design and develop custom software that integrates directly with Emerson controllers and operates within Phoenix platform following established methods and patterns
- Test and debug solutions to ensure quality, performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed systems.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience developing applications in a high-level language (C#, Java) directly against/connected to Emerson controllers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- The ability to work as part of a highly integrated cross-functional team Knowledge of other automation/controllers software technical stacks (i.e., Siemens, Danfoss, Tridium Niagara etc.)
- IoT domain knowledge preferred.
- Familiarity with building automation systems for refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and energy management, preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 3 – 5 years related experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
