Phoenix Energy Technologies Named as Vendor to Watch in Groom Energy’s Corporate Buyer’s Guide for Energy Management Software

Irvine, CA, March 13, 2012 – Phoenix Energy Technologies was named as a vendor to watch in Groom Energy’s new report, “The Enterprise Smart Grid – a Corporate Buyer’s Guide for Energy Management Software.” The report, released today, is aimed at helping corporate managers to make better, more informed decisions relative to energy management projects and vendors.

Developed from case study analysis, Groom identifies 11 distinct functional areas within the Enterprise Smart Grid – a term defined by Groom as the integration of sub-metering, hardware and software by organizations seeking visibility, control and management of their energy consumption.  Within this framework, vendors were categorized based on their offerings; of 100+ vendors identified and 40 vendors analyzed in the report, Phoenix received the distinction as 1 of 10 Enterprise Smart Grid vendors to watch.  Vendors to watch were selected based on innovation, customer proof points, strong market momentum, aggressive product development, and increased emphasis on enterprise-wide and multiple-site implementations.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from our peers at Groom Energy Solutions,” says PhoenixET CEO, Lisa M. Varga.  “The successful launch of our EnterpriseDX energy management software platform, coupled with a growing industry presence and customer base is indicative of the fact we’ve broken the traditional mold to address a need in the industry.  We look forward to continued momentum through continued innovation, strategic retail focus and, of course, ongoing customer savings.”

“We recognized Phoenix Energy Technologies as a vendor to watch because its energy management platform is well received in the market, requires no new hardware and no on-site installation, making it an attractive option for large, geographically dispersed enterprises such as national retail accounts,” said Paul Baier, report author and vice president of consulting for Groom Energy Solutions.
